Hi, I'm A.J.
I grew up in Massachusetts, studied film at the University of Southern California and then moved to New York City where I've spent over a decade working on films, TV shows, and digital media content.
In 2023 I founded Haunted Basement Productions with my two siblings. We produce music videos, commercials, and short films. Our aim is to make work that evokes a sense of wonder. My first short film, Night Train, premiered at the Lower East Side Film Festival in May 2024 and won the Audience Award at the 50/50 Film Festival in Los Angeles.
I was raised on a steady diet of Steven Spielberg movies and 90s Nickelodeon cartoons and my work is inspired by a love for hand-drawn animation, playful compositions, and a desire to find the perfect pairing of music and visuals.
